My first blog

An Attempt

Here goes nothing.  I guess that's how I get myself into a lot of situations, just close my eyes and jump.  literally and figuratively (I'm typing this with my eyes closed...kidding).  I was ranting this morning and my live in sounding board (see father) said "you should write this shit down".  So here I am with my own personal place to share all the of the craziness that is me, complete with run-on sentences and poor grammar,  my grandmother may just be rolling in her grave.  a disclaimer you may be offended by some of my "articles" here-within I have every intention of ranting on any and every subject that my mind may wander onto...reader beware.

Politics as usual

So this past week, former Massachusetts Congressman the slightly honorable Ed Markey gave himself a pay raise and became as U.S. Senator.  Congrats!!! you went from a useless voice among 435 representatives  to a useless voice among 100 senators.  As far as I can tell your only significant accomplishment in your many years of service is not severely fucking things up, unlike this guy
All Mr Markey (wasn't that a rappers name? ) had to do to win a senate seat was mumble about Roe v. Wade, (subject for another day) say Gabriel Gomez was in league with those crazy bankers, an analogy that can be made to any successful businessman, and say he doesn't have anything against those of us who like guns made of plastic instead of wood.  TAADAAA we have yet another liberal senator, from a liberal state who will do nothing more while he holds office than keep himself small enough to continue to get elected, vote himself pay raises every year and toe the party line on every major issue they tell him to.  from everything I have seen and read this guy is part of the problem.

So thanks to everyone that did their civic duty and voted, you went out there and did what you thought was right.  good on you but I plead with you to remember that when shit keeps going the way it has been.  when congress keeps up its around 10% approval rating, when the divide between the rich and poor keeps getting bigger.  when they keep voting themselves pay raises and generally ignoring everything a civil servant is supposed to do...you voted for a guy that's been doing all that shit since 1967
